The honest version
Nobody thinks about their website until the day it stops working.
Then it’s a Saturday, the contact form has been dead for three weeks, and the person who built it moved on two years ago.
Most small business sites run on WordPress, and WordPress needs looking after — a couple dozen plugins, each updating on its own schedule, any one of which can take the site down or quietly open a door. It’s not hard work. It’s just work that never stops, and it isn’t yours to do.
That’s the whole job. We keep it current, we keep a copy, we watch it around the clock, and we tell you plainly what we did.
What’s included
Every plan, every month.
The unglamorous work that keeps a site alive.
Updates, tested before they land
WordPress core, plugins and themes — applied on a schedule, then the site is checked. If something breaks, we fix it.
Daily off-site backups
A full copy of your site and database, stored away from your host, so a bad day is an inconvenience and not a catastrophe.
Uptime monitoring, around the clock
We know your site is down before you do, and we’re usually already working on it when you find out.
Malware and vulnerability scanning
Regular scans, and cleanup if something gets in. Security plugin updates are treated as urgent, not routine.
A plain-English report each month
What happened, what we did, what to keep an eye on. No dashboards to learn, no jargon to decode.
A person who answers
Reply to any report and you reach us, not a ticket queue. Urgent things get picked up the same day.
The part nobody else gives you
You can see everything we do.
Most maintenance plans are invisible. You pay every month, nothing appears to happen, and eventually you wonder why you’re paying.
Every customer gets a private status page — a live link, no login to remember. Every update, backup, scan, outage and fix is on it, in order, in plain English. It’s the same page we look at.
Why us
Not the cheapest. Considerably less annoying.
There are $39 plans. They’re a script and an inbox you can’t reach.
We’re in Tennessee
Tennessee-based, and happy to meet you. When something matters you get a person who knows your business, not whoever is next in the queue.
We fix, not just report
A scan that emails you a list of problems isn’t a service. If an update breaks something, sorting it out is the job you already paid for.
You see the receipts
Your status page is live and always current. You never have to take our word for it, and you never have to ask what you’re paying for.
The first twenty
We found 50 pending updates on sites that looked fine.
Our first customer is a Tennessee agency with twenty WordPress sites — their own, plus their clients’. Every one of them loaded normally. That’s the problem with websites: they look fine right up until they don’t.
When we brought the fleet under management, the first full sync surfaced 50 pending updates across 13 of the 20 sites. Several were security releases sitting untouched: a firewall plugin two major versions behind on two sites, and a forms plugin — the thing that actually receives customer enquiries — out of date on eight.
We applied every security update first, in one pass, then the rest. All twenty sites came through it without breaking. Nothing needed rolling back.

sites broken by the work
The part worth knowing: the sites had never been fully synced, so even the existing tooling was under-reporting what needed doing. The count wasn’t wrong because nobody looked — it was wrong because looking had never been set up properly.
That first customer is our own studio — we say so rather than dressing it up as an independent reference. It is also why the numbers above are exact.
Add-on
Your site sounds like a robot wrote it.
Because something probably did.
A lot of small business sites have been quietly filled with AI-drafted copy that’s vague, faintly wrong, and sounds like everyone else. Customers notice. So does Google.
We rewrite it so it reads like a person — your voice, your actual services, facts checked against reality — and publish it. You don’t need to know how it works. You need the pages to sound like your business.
From $75 a page · full site de-slop $800–2,500

The things people actually ask.
What happens if an update breaks my site?
We fix it — that’s the service, not an extra. On Standard and Premium we test updates on a staging copy first, so most breakage never reaches your live site. And we keep daily backups, so the worst case is a rollback measured in minutes.
Do I have to move my hosting?
No — we look after your site wherever it lives. But if your host turns out to be the actual problem — slow servers, no caching, going offline — we’ll show you the numbers and tell you straight. We do run our own managed hosting, and we’ll move you onto it if you want: we handle the migration, you just point the domain. It’s an option we offer when it’ll help, never a condition of working with us.
Can I cancel?
Any month, no phone call required. Your site stays fully covered through the period you’ve already paid for — updates, backups and monitoring all continue — and then it simply stops. We don’t do contracts or cancellation fees.
My site was built with a page builder. Is that a problem?
No. Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver — we look after all of them. Builders make updates more delicate, which is a reason to have someone watching, not a reason to be turned away.
Do you build new websites too?
Not under SiteGroom — this is care for sites that already exist. If you need something built, we’ll point you at people we trust, including our own studio.
